Trying to identify this Specialized Crossroads bike?
 

Hi guys/gals,

I'm new to the forum (my virgin post). I had a nice 2004 Specialized Crossroads Sport several years ago and I really liked it. I used it to commute around Boston when I had to go there for a job. It was a really nice bike. So I'm back in Baltimore and I see one on Craigslist for $199. The guy doesn't know the year or model and the bike looks a little strange to me. Every photo of a Specialized Crossroads bike I've seen has the word Crossroads across the top bar and Specialized along the diagonal bar. This one is opposite. Crossroads is on the diagonal bar and Specialized is on the horizontal bar.

I've looked at all the bikes on Specialized's website in their archive and I can't find one that looks like this. Anyone know where I can find out more info on this bike? I've attached the photo from the Craigslist ad. He says one of the front sprockets is slightly bent so I'm sure I'll need to have some service on it. I didn't want to offer him more than the bike's worth and then have to pay for repairs.

Thats from the earlier to mid 90s. They made a bunch of different Crossroads models. Some had nicer all chromoly butted frame tubes and forks, some had hi ten stays and forks.
