This bike was giving to
Me a few weeks ago just trying to get feedback if it worth it ..I also have a ss crankset 34t from race face that I might install 1x8 would I run I to any problem if I do the swap thanks

Is it the right size for you? If so,I'd go for it. You'll learn alot and have the pride that comes with knowing you built your own bike. If you're looking for parts on the cheap,check to see if there are any co-ops/bike kitchens in your area. They can also supply knowledge and tools.

As for the SS crankset;make sure the ring is for a derailleur chain and not a singlespeed 1/8" chain,and that the cranks are the same interface as the bottom bracket.

Agreed. Hopefully it is the right size for you. If it is, start making a shopping list and targeting each section of the bike. I would keep it 3x8 to start with as it looks like a very clean platform to build. Your most pricey items might be a new brake set or if you go with flatbars, 3x8 rapidfire shifters. either way, you will end up with a really nice bike at a fraction of the cost of a new one. Keep us up to date on the progress.
