    Cannondale CX3 2015?

    Hi guys,

I recently test ride this Cannondale. The config is quite close to Trek DS 8.4. Both are in the 800 range.

Take a second look around, Giant Roam 2 also has a pretty decent even better config. with a little lower price tag of 650. Went to my LBS this afternoon, but they don't carry the hybrid there. Let's get back to the ultimate usage: I am not going to use it to commute at all! Just for fun weekend cycling with my wife on park trails where most are paved road with a little dirt.

My question 1: if you keep the frame and upgrade the gears in the future, is Cannondale's frame better?

My question 2: does Altus really inferior to Alivio in daily use?

My question 3: What about a regular Quick 4?

I have scanned over some of the posts here asking similar things. But still I want some suggestions

Anyway, ordered it after waiting for some suggestions here for one week. Will see if 900 dollars are worth it. After all, I am an amateur who will only use it for leisure time in parks. Will update the post after I use the bike. Thanks for your attention.

Got over 2500 miles on my Altus derailer and works perfectly.

Thanks for your reply, DEW21. The bike should be arrived in several days. I will test it out then. Hope it can deliver a smooth ride.

    Hi guys,

After taking this bike home for 3 weeks, it feels great. Rather than Atlas in the real derailleur, it is actually Acera. Better than I expected. However, my only question is why the chain makes a noise when I am using 2-5 combination, while it is pretty quiet with 1-1 1-3 and 3-6 3-8.

    Any one has any suggestion?
