My LBS has the 2015 DiamondBack Haanjo Metro and wondering what you all think of the componets. The price is affordable. Before I pull the trigger want to make sure the componets are quality.

What are others thoughts? Is this a quality bike? Or should I keep looking for something else in the $400-600 range.

Is this a new bike line? As I have found little information online on the Haanjo line.

"Quality" will be comparable between bikes in the same price range. Your job is to find the bike that works best for you and offers the features you desire most.

Did you ride the Metro yet? Ride any others? Go by that.

Personally, I like this model.

I am not sure what your "Deal" is but I see that bike going for $550 online. It appears to be a nice entry level bike. The components are good but still entry level. I would agree with AlmostTrick and that I like the looks and geometry. If you're not in a rush go out and check out a couple more stores and see what Trek, Specialized, Scott etc have to offer in that range.

The bike is on sale for $400, which i believe is a solid deal. Other bikes that i have been looking at in the same price range are the Marin Muirwoods and the Trek 7.2 FX Disc. <--- they would be more than $400 but in the $550 range.

How would the Hannjo Metro compare to the Muirwoods or the Trek 7.2 FX Disc? Each bike rides equally nice for myself. At this point, looking for better components.

Sorry for the questions. I am a bike novice that is on a budget.

Usually if manufactures splurge a bit in one area, they have to cut back somewhere else to maintain the price point. That's why buyers need to figure out what's most important to them.

But if you have little or no riding experience, then there's really no way you could know exactly what would work best for you. So maybe just get something at a reasonable cost and start riding.

What is your intended use for your new bike? What, when and where have you ridden in the past? What did you like/not like about the bikes you rode?

$400 is a good deal for the DB, but only if it fits and works for you.

Its Diamondback's entry level flat bar country/adventure/gravel grinder/commuter bike.

Its a solid value if you like a do everything bike - and can afford to have only one bike.

That would serve you well for years to come.
