New guy from Portland Oregon!

Hey! I'm looking at getting a Cannondale Caadx disk tiagra 2015. What are some reviews on this guy?!

Welcome to the forums. I've got the component group and it works very well for me. I, too, have it set up with disc brakes but not such a great frame as a CAAD8. I think that bike hits a lot of the right criteria for a great road bike.

Ya it seems great for a commute in the PNW. I'm a pretty big guy, so hopefully it will hold up

Sorry, I thought I read CAAD8 Tiagra, but you wrote CAADX.

I was going to recommend 32-spoke wheels but I see the CAADX comes with them. That ought to help keep your bigness at bay. Haha.

A new Tiagra groupset (4700) was announced yesterday. So, if you're not in a hurry it might make sense to wait till that appears on bikes in the summer or fall.

Wow those are awesome! But I would assume that getting a bike with that new group would run up the price considerably, right?

I not sure. My guess is that there will continue to be pressure on bike retailers to keep prices low. This is, mostly, a sprucing up of the existing, and more than adequate, group.
