About to start riding again
I used to ride mountain bikes when I was in college - a lot. I was also a mechanic at one of the country's biggest Trek shops. But that was 20 years ago, and I haven't ridden after having a series of bikes stolen when I lived in Denver and Phoenix.
I am about to start riding again with my family. My kids are 6 and 8 and are expressing interest in riding outside the neighborhood. So the wife bought a 7-speed Schwinn cruiser this weekend and I'm picking up a gently used Trek hybrid this evening. I'm looking forward to getting back in the saddle.
I'm hoping that becoming involved in an online community like this will keep me interested like it has with some of my other hobbies. I could definitely use the exercise.
