Some-Time Lurker Always Lookin' ta Learn
So, I've checked out this and other fora for info in the past, but I am so excited about my new ride (even though it's way less expensive than the one that got stolen last year), that I had to post a pick of it...
I'm a long-time bike commuter and have recently gotten into riding longer distances. In fact, last year, I was training up to go for a Century before my pricey (well, it was cheap by some standards, but plenty pricey for me) bike was stolen by a pro (angle grinder and everything)...
This year, as the thaw set in over here in Brooklyn, a friend was moving out of town and sold me a Bianchi San Jose for a reasonable price... when I borrowed the bike for a week, I was sold. Fixed up some brake placement and replaced the tape today and am just looking forward to taking very good care of this awesome ride.
Also, I've learned a lot just lurking through here over the years, so I also hope to maybe give some of that back one day (when I'm a bit more knowledgable still).
Oh, and, in the interest of not posting the same pic I did in the SS/Fixed forums, here's another shot of the new(to me, at least) stallion:
