New Owners and Riders
Hello from Seattle! My wife and I just got our first road bikes. I grew up riding but this is my first road bike. Would love any tips to getting into road riding, so far we've heard that group rides are one of the best ways to start.
Also, bike care is going to be huge, where did you all learn how to do it properly? Honestly, my wife and I feel like our bikes are too nice for newbies. She got a Liv Avail with Ultegra and I stumbled upon a Wilier GTS Disk at our LBS, bot on incredible clearance sales. Road ten miles yesterday on my first clip-on experience and LOVED it, but we feel a little like 16 year olds with dad's corvette.
So, any thoughts on what we can do to make less mistakes, and helpful tips which helped you get into this, we would love that. Thank you, and glad to be a part of this community!
