Hello from Seal Beach
Good morning from Seal Beach. After having 2 knee surgeries, both meniscus tears, and having the one that I just had surgery on begin to give me problems again I decided I needed to finally get off my butt and be a bit more proactive on getting in better shape. I'm 52 and am about 20 - 30 lbs heavier than I'd like to be. Just purchased a new Giant Roam 2 bike a little over a week ago and am having fun getting to know the bike and figuring out how to ride a bit more seriously. Three rides this past week, 4.8 miles, 5.4 miles and yesterday morning 7.4 miles, (no hills yesterday). Trying to motivate myself right now to get out this morning again, so I guess I'd better go. Thanks for all your posts on the other forums. Happy Father's Day.

Welcome to Bike Forums. Many folks in the 50+ forum (including me, both knees) have had arthroscopic knee surgery. My physical therapy was to ride my bike. Glad you found us.
