Giddaye from New Zealand!
Hello my name is David and i live in the far north of the North Island - New Zealand.
I have been restoring bicycles for around 8 years and am totally hooked!
The bikes that i choose to restore are mainly 10 and 12 speed production models from the 1970's and 80's - specifically bikes made in New Zealand and sometimes bikes from other nations such as Japan and Australia - depends on what comes my way.
Occasionally i will come across a very old vintage, and if it is all there and the parts etc are not too worn - i will spend the time to restore as best that i can.
I think my workmanship is reasonably good - but have found that there is always room for improvement and always something new to learn about what most people think is the simple Bike.
I give example of a resent renovation - a 1992 Avanti Pro Series carbon fibre and ChrMo composite
I look forward to getting to know other members on this site.
Regards,
David Stewart

Welcome to Bike Forums, David!
I look forward to hearing more about your bikes. I suggest posting about them in our Classic & Vintage forum.

Ill put this one up for you Ben - one of my faves. It is a Miyata 310 frame tubing, i think from memory a 57cm from around 84 - put together by a New Zealand bicycle store in Nelson, the Winn Brothers, in the early 1980's - they named it the 'Vincere' a 10 speed.
The gear is Sakae Ringyo and Suntour.
quill stem is SR Royale - Bars are Sakae Road Champion - rims are 27x1" Mavic - Brakes are Gran Compe
