Howdy! I've almost always had a bike and spent most of my college years with a Trek 800 as my primary vehicle. That was...a *while* ago...
I started biking "for reals" again a few years ago to do a triathlon because my buddies and I were all turning 40 and needed to prove we weren't dead yet.
I started out using a flat bar road bike Scattante. Then I moved up to a Trek 1.5 for racing and I use the Scattante for commuting. I ride with training groups for the AIDS LifeCycle (which I volunteer for as a Roadie), and I train/bike commute regularly to/from my office in San Jose.
Now I've started getting interested in doing my own repairs and maybe even rebuilding old bikes. Looking forward to learning and sharing!
