I have been totally addicted to biking for 30+ years and have been an avid Mt. Biker since I purchased my first real mountain bike in 1987. I grew up a few hundred yards from the mountains and have always been able to hit the dirt in just a few minutes. Now I live about 3 miles from the trails but that doesn't make much difference.
I have a wide assortment of bikes and my garage is like a museum showing the history of Mt. bike advancements in particular.
I am also lucky to live in an awesome area for road biking. Within blocks I can be virtually free from traffic for miles and miles with rolling hills and beautiful scenery.
I am married and my wife and kids are also bike fanatics. We love to get out and ride all the time and plan many of our vacations around cycling. We also like to hike, camp, and rollerblade the parkways.
One of my callings in life is to be a missionary for cycling and have hooked many friends and family members and at least 5 or 6 have (nearly) surpassed me in the passion for it and some have definately passed me in fitness and skills.
I've definately got too much bike stuff because my wife is embarrased if I leave the garage open.
