Hello from Vancouver!
Hi everyone...
I bought my first really good bike around ‘83...a Fuji, back then it was about $600.00. Rode that for a few years, then in 1989 got a little more serious about cycling and bought a Specialized Allez Pro. A substantial investment for a bicycle, but I’ve still got it today and it looks like new. In 2007, I decided it was time to upgrade, so I bought a Specialized S-Works Tarmac E5...love that bike!
Got into mountain biking with some co-workers in the early ‘90’s and bought my first Stumpjumper which served me well up until about 2007. Then I bought my Stumpjumper Elite which I still have today.
I’ve been trying to get my wife into bicycling for quite some time...since we met in ’97. However, because she started late (40’s, and not as a child when we have very little fear), she was nervous about falling and getting hurt. On a recent trip, we rented a tandem and cycled together. Although she had little experience at bicycling in general, she was awesome pedalling, and felt great on the bike as long as she wasn’t responsible for steering or balance. So, recently we decided to buy a tandem and settled on a Co-Motion Mocha, which we are looking forward to riding together.
