I've always loved biking, but have never taken it seriously. I would ride my bike around town for fun, and ride it to work sometimes, and go for longer rides every now and then. But now riding has become religious. It's my main form of transportation, and I make a point to ride every day. I commute to work every day, but I'm also looking to increase my endurance, and be able to bang out 50 miles and up. My long term goal is to ride a century.

The bad news- I had a '94 Gary Fisher that I had made a little more road friendly with slick tires, and a few extra mods which got stolen a couple of years ago. Man I loved that bike. To replace it, I committed an ultimate sin- I bought a department store bike. Funds were low, and I didn't have any intention of buying it, but it actually rode pretty well- for a 35lb bike. So even though I bought this POS, I'm proud to say that I'm banging out 20 mile rides on it. I've definitely gotten my money's worth out of it. I'm dying to get my hands on a real road bike, and I'm excited to see what I can do on it.

BTW, I'm in New Orleans- not the best place to ride, the streets are for crap- but I've heard there's some decent routes to find.
