Hi from Ireland soon to be Chicago
Hi All,
Just joined here, I've asked a question three or four days ago so I'm just doing the intro now.
Well as the subject line says I'm from Ireland and will soon be heading over the US of A, to work and live. I'm looking forward to it, I really am.
I started biking when I was 14, which was about 16 years ago. The year before Irelend's Stephen Roche won everything worth winning in 1987. I road raced until I was about 25, (if you can call some of the results racing) even racing for two years in England, where I even got a 1st Cat licence. Anyway, I stopped racing for a few years and have piled on the winter insulation, although I kept cycling but just for fun. I'm slowly but surely getting rid of the excess blubber. I'll need to lose about 30lbs, and get a smaller waist and new jeans to boot. I'm 210lbs at the moment but my target is 175lbs.
I've been building up again after been away from serious training and am loving it. I'm really getting back that discipline and can't wait to meet loads of you guys over there. It's a whole new adventure.
Life on the bike is fun!!
