New guy with parts questions

Hey I am new the forum. I have had my bike for a while and am finally moving to a city that I believe will accommodate cycling, Philiadelphia.

I am looking for advice on a certain replacement part for it, and could use some help.
It is a Kabuki - La Veloz and i am having an issue finding a match for a part I am missing.

I am missing one of the screws to the brake handle.

The part in question looks almost identical to this: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/545850417312738710/

The one side I do have appears to be a oversized m6 panhead screw with a combination phillips/flat face. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement or a parts list? I am also missing the oversized really thin washer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can post pictures of my actual ride if that would help.

Welcome to Bike Forums.

As this is the Introductions forum, where new forum members are supposed to introduce themselves, you won't likely get your answer here. I recommend posting your inquiry, with the pictures of your bike, in our Classic & Vintage forum. Classic & Vintage - Bike Forums

Welcome. I am not a "Pinterest" member, so your pictures are obscured by a "Join/Login" screen that I can't seem to close.
Many people here use Photobucket or similar to host pictures, then post a link, which allows the specific picture to display right in the BikeForums message
Pictures of the actual part is always best.
Also, as suggested, try posting in a more specific form. "Bicycle mechanics" is another option.

Welcome to Bike Forums. You could also try a couple of bike shops. They usually have a decent collection of odds and ends for older bikes.

Howdy and welcome aboard!

For the parts you need; see if there are bike coops/kitchens in your area.
Here in NYC; we have Recycle a Bicycle. Lowe's & Home Depot have generic
screws, bolts, washers, etc.

Philly is a good place to bike; except for the cobble streets.

I was hoping to order something now. I dont have any bike shops close right now, in south arkansas. I also tried to start a thread in the classic forums, but it did not get approved. I took pictures and these are the parts in question. I have one side just trying to match the screw and washer for the other side. does anyone know of where to find a parts list to these old bikes? do they exist?

I'm not sure why your thread in C&V was caught in the machinery but now should be okay.

Hardware store-look for machine screws, nuts, and washers. Why would you even want to keep those "turkey levers", anyway? 30 years ago (when those awful designs were made), any halfway 'serious' cyclist would remove them first thing, lest he look like a noob.

I have been to fastenall (website and in store) and can not find an exact match.

As for my noob status I am not even a halfway serious cyclist. I really like the levers because they allow my fingers to reach the breaks more easily. I was born with ABS https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amniot...d_constriction so the ease of use is worth more to me than people thinking I am a noob.

I will try again. Thank you for looking into it.

I am going to order some very similar parts from mcmaster, but I am still interested in what was originally spec'd out on these bikes. I am a sucker for keeping things stock.
