Greetings from NW Illinois
Greetings from the Land o' Lincoln!
My name is Andy. I use the username Blues Rider because I'm into the blues (and many other genres of music), both listening and playing (guitar, mandolin, ukulele...). An oh yea--I'm also into riding my bike.
I haven't been riding for a couple of weeks. I do plan on riding until the snow flies, and when the streets are clear in winter. I have an old Schwinn one-speed with big tires that I plan on riding in the snow. We'll see if I follow through! My "good" ride is a Trek Domane I just bought this summer.
I've been riding seriously for only a few years. I'm 60 years old, and I hope to ride for a LONG time!
I've done one century, a couple of road races (came in near last) and a criterium (first one pulled from the course, but now that I know a little more how those work, and I know more how to train, WATCH OUT NEXT YEAR!!).
Looking forward to chatting with y'all!

Hi Andy, thanks for the greeting. I hope you get good traction with your Schwinn.

Welcome to Bike Forums.
I'm a 71 y/o roadie (72 in less than 4 weeks) and I'm still loving my road bikes. Not giving them up for a LONG time.
Have fun.

Welcome aboard Andy, from a newly minted 60 y.o., as of last Saturday. Felt truly old and decrepit when I woke up that morning, then I realized I was coming down with a head cold. Went riding and it was like being 59 all over again. Good to have you join in with us here at BF, just pull up a sitting spot and make yourself at home.
