my first post (visas)
Hello Everyone,
My name is Sabino and I'm 60 years old and thinking of cycling around the world on a solar powered bike I'm working on. I'm here to see if someone can help me with some questions. I'm not sure if I am doing this correctly
i.e. if this is the right place to post this, so I apologize to everyone if I'm doing this wrong. So I live in Boston MA.
and would like to ride to Argentina along the east coast and then ride north to Alaska along the west coast, so here
is my question, when I was looking to see how to get across the Bering sea to Russia, a lot of information mentioned getting a visa or you would not be allowed to enter the country. So do you need visas for every country you enter and must you apply for them first, or can you just ask for them at boarder crossings? I know this sounds stupid, but any information would be helpful.
Thank You All,
Respectfully,
Sabino

Welcome to Bike Forums, Sabino. It sounds like you are planning quite the adventure. Being that this is the Introductions forum you won't likely get your questions answered.
I suggest asking your questions in our Touring forum. Touring - Bike Forums

Welcome aboard Sabino, As said above our Touring Forum would be a good place to start. I'd recommend getting on touch with the State Department, and the Embassies of the respective countries that you will have to ride through for complete information and visa requirements, also.
Best of luck with your excursion.
