Another g'day from Oz

Well, the 30 year old son smashed himself up on his old bike so I bought him a Jim Bundy-brazed Lennie Rogers 80s cycle that is really very nice indeed, and the younger kid has taken my gas pipe Malvern Star LA 84, so I've either got to find and put suitable bits on the lovely Nervex-lugged frame I just got or drag my sorry 60 year old arse around on foot.
I know nothing and I'm going slow.

Welcome aboard, I have a feeling you may want to check into the Classic and Vintage Forum. Hope that your son is fairing well after his smashing up.

Tanx y'all. The boy is doing well by doing good, and you're right - I'm more C&V interested, being fairly classic and vintage myself.

As am I, at least I am certain that I'm definitely Vintage, the Classic part is up in the air, and subject to debate.

That will be interesting!
45 bikes? Perhaps you should consult someone about this odd obsession ...

45 is nothing. I went to a garage sale for a guy leaving town and he had 60+ laying in the front yard. I bought an old Giant Yukon off a dude at acacia ridge and he had more than 100 under his house.
Curbside cleanups in both cases I suspect.

And I told my wife to cool it at two bikes. Here's a big hello from Wales....

Who'd ever believe bikes could become an obsession...?

I know. I had only one for 8 years and more, rode it every weekend. Then I had 6 years away and when I got back into cycling I bought a new one, then rebuilt the old one, them bought a nice MTB, then an old MTB for the rural property, and now I am bidding on a nice Yukon from the 90's. Madness!!!
