Hello From Illinois
I am from west suburban Chicago with the good fortune to live between the Illinois Prairie Path and the Great Western Trail. A number of firsts today beyond this post: First ride of the year and the first time on my new Trek DS 2. I also have a hand me down Specialized Crossroads.
The weather was mid 30's with the snow melting quickly. Kind of like spring snow-sports.

hey, Wecome to the forums Richard. Sounds like your set up with a good season on that trek. I ride a Giant Toughroad myself, very similar design, I only ride road though no trail. Look forward to reading some of your adventures.
