Hello from Canada
Hi, first time poster here. I've biked now and then in the last 25 years but decided last year to start biking to work (39 km for back and forth). I used my old 1990 Schwinn Miranda bike then. Just bought a 2012 Giant TCX 2 that I'm eager to start using once the snow melts from the bike path

Welcome to Bike Forums. A CX bike is a great choice for a commuter. That's what I had from 2004 thru 2010. I also enjoyed my 2007 TCX but I used it for off road riding.

Thanks all :-) I enjoyed most of my rides last Summer/Fall. Took snow to stop me since the bike trails I use are not plowed :-( The rides I didn't like so much were the ones with strong head wind. Rain didn't bother me, unless it was with strong head wind :-) Hopefully though, the more aerodynamic position I can take with my TCX will help against head wind.
