Hi from Southern California! :D

Hello there!

I am new to fixed riding (planning to buy a Kilo TT real soon), and I can't wait to see how my biking interest will flourish more than how it is now.

I've always ridden geared bikes (I have a beat up road bike from college ATM), but I wanted to try something new, and fixed gears / single speed bikes look fun as hell to ride. My inspiration came from a YouTuber Zach Gallardo (check him out, he's pretty cool).

Soon I will get to 10 posts so I can post links LOL I can't wait to be more active in the forums!

Cheers!

Hello

Welcome, I'm a new member too. Many years ago I had a geared road bike that I used as a commuter. After a few weeks it occurred to me that I was using only two gears. A low gear for steep overpasses and a high gear for everything else. Eventually I bought a track wheel and eliminated about five pounds of weight from my drive train. The bike is much more fun to ride!

Thank you friend!

Yes, I have been forum-lurking for too long. I needed to get my unanswered questions out there, in case someone else might be stuck on the same thing!

Cheers!

Hello!

Omg you sound like me! My current bike is a geared road bike (beat up from college) and I realized I only used the same types of gears. Low for those hills and high for the flats. I am stoked to get on a lighter bike that's a blast to ride, with less fuss over a derailleur.
