Hi from suburban Boston area
I am a fairly active 70 year old and have recently purchased an electric assisted mountain bike. I hope I am welcome here. E-bikes are often looked down upon in the US, unlike the rest of the world where they are very popular. For my age bracket, this bike allows me to participate (I ride it pretty aggressively) in a sport in which I otherwise may not be able to enjoy. I realize that there are plenty of folks my age riding conventional bikes out there, and I salute you, but this is working for me and I am loving it.
No throttle, peddle assist mode only, just a bit of a boost to get me up the steeper terrain. I get a great workout and have a ton of fun doing it.
Looking forward to poking around the forum,
Tom

Hi Tom, welcome to Bike Forums. As a Yankees fan, I'll try not to hold your hometown against you.
