New Kid on the Block - Hidee Ho!

I just love introductions!

NUTSHELL: Single Gay Male with Positive Outlook on Life; 31 years old; I've had one root canal, the crown is gorgeous; I'm adopted, originally from Virginia; BFA, Theater; Besides my Family & Friends, I love Collin Farrell, Tina Turner, Kurt Cobain & Martin Luther King Jr; Living with HIV since 1997; Can't get enough coffee, chianti & eggs over medium; Fav Movie: Steel Magnolia's.

THEATRE: My career (so far) has taken me to Elks Lodges, Country Clubs & run-down-hole-in-the-walls in 36 States doing dinner theate ("Pass the salt - what'd he say?"). Also performed in Day Cares & Schools across the Mid-Atlantic (where they have lots of outbreaks of lice & ringworm) doing children's theatre. Had fun performing at Kings Dominion (VA) & Six Flags Great America (IL). By far the most fun and exciting theatre I have done is with my own company, The BGE. I'm a founding ensemble member of the Billy Goat Experiment Theatre Co. in Chicago, Illinois.

BIKING: Had a paper route as a kid, did that on a Schwinn with a banana seat & fabulous ribbons on the handlebars. Really got into biking in 1998 to do my first AIDSRide from Minneapolis to Chicago, and fell in love with my Trek 6500 (Thanks Tracy). Then fell in love with Critical Mass! Did the AIDSRide again in 2000, had the time of my life. Doing the AIDSRide again this year, 2002. Email me if you'd like to pledge. Biking gives me an escape & strength - Biking Frees my Spirit!

IT'S A MAJOR PLUS: I have a tatoo on my left calf of a Red Plus Sign. It represents my take on everything in Life: It's A Major Plus. What's a Major Plus? You name it. The When I was diagnosed HIV Positive I was devastated. I was in shock for nearly a year. I finally began the healing process and came up with the thought that I am grateful for everything Life hands me, even if it's not what I expected or wanted. I have found that residing in Truth allows me to move through Life with Peace. I strive for Acceptance, Understanding, Determination, Equality, and Honesty. Peace and Grace to You.

WELCOME! to the forums. That's quite a biography/resume you've shared with us. Your courage and honesty is inspiring. Hope to see more posts from you, and hearing of your cycling experiences as they pertain to the theatre --if they do.

I'm not a Ho!, and welcome. Just what we need around here. More drama. Einstein said that matter can neither be created or destroyed. I think he is wrong. Theatre creates energy. Theatre creates matter (just watch a ham with a bit-part take over an entire production with one line). Glad you're here.
