    Hello from Hampstead, Maryland

    Hello,

    Fairly new to riding (well again) I have not rode a bike since I was 16, now 31 bought a fairly cheap GT Mountain bike to do some road/Street/VERY light trails to start and if I stick with it I will get a nice cross bike..

    Anything specific I should work on? I am also eating a MUCH better diet, more laid out and no fast food/sodas.. I am riding roughly 3-5 times a week for atleast 45 minutes, but trying to add more on each day.. first day after about 15 minutes I was done.. but I am getting the gears down and knowing how to sustain myself and not burn all my energy in a couple short bursts and then have to walk it home..

    Formerly a Hampstead resident - use to ride to Hanover and back. Advice -find a pace/cadence that is comfortable, change gears to maintain that. As you get stronger/have more endurance, you may find you'll be using higher gears and increasing speeds/distances. Enjoy.
