Greetings

I’m from South Central NJ. Not counting the bike riding from my youth, (late 1950’s-early 1960’s) I have only been riding a few weeks. (You can kind of figure out my age.) I first bought a vintage, near mint, Motobecane Nomade. I gave this bike to my wife. I just purchased a new DAWES LIGHTNING 1000 ROAD BIKE for me. In the weeks since biking has started, the house is cluttered with bicycles, bicycle books, equipment and bike talk. My wife says I’m on a "rampage"—again! Already learning “big time” from mistakes!

Sounds like a great bike! The Dawes is so excellent!
I also am getting more into it than ever.
I remember my brothers Mobecane Mirage, with fully lugged frame, and Simplex components. I then got bit by the bike bug, and got a 1975 Centurian Super Lemans, I still have it, but with all campy Nuevo Recordn now.
Welcome to Bike Forum,
looking forward to many great discussions.
Thanks "King"
