Hi, I live in Fairbanks, Alaska. I ride two bikes, both quite old: a Torpado I built up from a bare frame in about '74 and a Cinelli I purchased around '84. The Torpado is my commute bike (10 hilly miles each way, about 3 miles on dirt/gravel, the rest on pavement) but I don't use the Cinelli much any more, though I should as it's a fabulous bike. My bikes are pretty old, but I have to admit that the powerplant is even older as I hit 50 last year 
. I ride only from April through Sept, about 4 days a week. And just so you know I'm not wimpin' out cuzza the cold, I do x-c ski and skijoor all winter. I like to swim too, so I'll have to take a look at the triathlon posts someday, but for now I find the 50+ and 'daily commute' forums fun reading.
