Hi from Alexandria Va
I'm new to road bikes but not to cycling, had a "comfort bike" before my recent road bike purchase. Spent several months researching road bikes and ended up with an Olmo Millenium outfitted with a mixed Campy Centaur/Chorus (rear derailleur) group, Campy Zonda wheels, Thomson stem, FSA Wing Pro handlebars, Selle saddle and Ritchey carbon seat post. She's a beauty to look at and ride.
After some bike familiarization rides, I'm now "building a base", as distance runners say, on local bike trails. Subsequently, plan to do distance riding and perhaps try a race in the future. Still doing distance running. Hence the handle strider.
I'm in the masters age bracket.

Hi neighbor!
I'm in your area.
Nice components, man! Good luck with building up those base miles. But get on the streets! I'd hate to see a collision with someone else on those crowded MUPs out here!
Koffeee

Thanks for the welcome. Know enough to stay off the trails on the weekends, especially Sunday. Run them on Saturdays though. Most of my bike riding has been on roads with some trail time during the week. Cars don't always see you either. Know that from my motorcysle days.
