Hello from Boston. Go Sox.
I've found this site extremely helpful so I thought I'd get involved. I'm a former bike shop mechanic but that was back in 95-96 so my knowledge is a bit rusty. In the 90's I lived on my specialized mountain bike but the head tube has a hairline crack in it so it's on the rack till I can find a quality welder. I can't trade it in because the frame is autographed by Ned Overend and there's no way I'm letting that go. I bought a late 80's early 90's mint condition cannondale road bike from a friend of mine which is my pride and joy. (I know I'm easy to please). I slapped a raceface mountain bar on it (with a home made shim) and some xtr levers and it has become the ultimate urban rocket for dodging cabs and hopping potholes. I've embraced everything "roady" and am looking for something more race-worthy in the future. Thanks for having a great site and I look forward to contributing in the future. Viva Lance.
