An introduction by story. I always loved VW Bugs as a kid (twenty years ago). The simplicity, the idea of cheap parts, and the emphasis on basic transportation. I never bit on the status of prestige in a car, instead I liked the post-war holdover styling of a Bug. Fast forward to today and I'm riding a fixed gear bike, recycled from an 80's Bianchi. I've been carfree for 2 years and have no regrets.
