Hello from Madison, Wisconsin.
Hi, my name is Brian Standing. Madison is the most bike-friendly town I've ever lived in. I bike EVERYWHERE, in all weather, and it's by far the fastest and easiest way to get around. I've also produced a couple of bicycle documentary videos, including "Pedalphiles" about a chopper gang here in Madison. You can find out more about me and what I do at www.prolefeedstudios.com.

Brian,
My parents live in Madison. The arboretum is my favorite loop. I do that at least once a day when I am home.

Hi, Brian, and welcome to Bike Forums. I just watched the clip "Pedalphiles". Are you a part of that group or what did it take to do a docu like that? Well, I'm in Cross Plains and an avid Road/MTB cyclist. I also have some old helmet-cams if you need them. I want to get into the more urban riding, but it's tough when gorgeous road riding is just out your front door. If you're ever out this way I can show you some great loops.

Hey CPclydesdale
Thanks for looking at the "Pedalphiles" clip. I shot a good chunk of that while standing on the foot pegs of one of the gang members' choppers. I've never used a helmet cam, but it sounds like something I'd like to check out sometime. S.C.A.B. is basically defunct now, as its members have scattered across the globe. I was never an "official" member, since I have yet to build my own bike, but one of the S.C.A.B.'ies gave me a really nice home-built recumbent chopper that I ride some times. It's partially made out of a futon frame, so it has now accumulated a rather scary amount of rust, so I don't ride it very much any more.
P.S. Do you live in the Village or the Town of Cross Plains? I work for Dane County, and know a lot of the Town of Cross Plains officials pretty well. There was a well-publicized dust-up recently when the town got cranky about a bike race on Cross Plains roads...
