Hi All
Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been riding off and on for 20 years. I had to take an 8 year break from riding after a car accident but I am back in the saddle now. I ride a 10 year old Cannondale with lots of upgrades and a new Vision recumbent. I live about 30 miles east of Sacramento California in El Dorado Hills. Let me tell you there are LOTS of hills! Most of my rides are up hill both ways.

HI and welcome!
I remember when I was stationed with the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea, we had a 13 mile run at least weekly if not more frequently. We started and ended at the exact same spot. However, for some reason, it seemed as though we were running up hill all the way. So I know, it is possible to go up hill both ways

Welcome, and let me introduce you to the Recumbent riders of Sacramento. They have a "first full moon" ride (which happens to be day after tomorrow, Friday, Aug. 23rd. We meet in front of Bella Brew at 5 corners shopping Ctr. at 7:00 PM, and usually follow the American River Bike Trail to the Starbucks of Jamba Juice in Gold River, then ride back under the full moon. This Friday, we may ride to the Nimbus Fish Hatchery. all are welcome, you must wear a helmet (no potential organ donors or crash dummies). Use this address to get to the site for map and more details. Upright bikes are also welcome, though we can hardly imagine why you would want one.
