Hello all. ran across this site a couple weeks ago when I started looking for a new bike. Here's my back ground.
Bought my first 'real' bike a Peugeot U08 after my 7th grade year. That bike lasted me until 1982 when as a college student I moved into a new TREK 620 touring bike. After many many miles(12,000 maybe?) on that good old steel frame, I upgraded again in 1996 to a new TREK 1220, what a big difference those STI shfters were!!! Although the 1220 still has a bunch of miles left in it, the wife suggested me getting a new bike. Thought I better obey her and start looking!!!

Howdy, and welcome to the forum. When you wife suggest getting a new bike, did you start doing to the happy dance in front of her?
