Hello... new to the forums.

I'm in my 30's, live in San Diego, California.

I've been riding semi-seriously since 1987, when I started road biking in San Diego North County. At one point, I was up to 125+ miles a week.I've had a mountain bike for a few years, but never really got into it in a big way. I now live in a much more bike-friendly neighborhood, so I have the itch to start riding again.

I'm joining the forum to get advice on the purchase of a new bike, as well as maybe some specific help for commuting to work.
