Pennsylvania here...

Hi all, happy to have found these forums! I bought a used mountain bike almost five years ago in the hopes of starting a fitness routine. It didn't quite work, but after joining a gym I found that cycling is a great crosstraining strategy. I just bought a Raleigh Passage 4.0 hybrid, and plan to wear the tires bare on the great rail-trails that western Pennsylvania is becoming known for. You'll probably see my posts asking for newbie help all over the place.

Hi, and welcome from a fellow Pennsylvanian. Yes we do have some great rail-trails on this side of the state. Ohio, and West Virginia offer some nice close by options for me to visit as well. I hope you enjoy the forums. There's a lot of good people, with all kinds of advice.

See ya' on your pedals,
Den

Hello to my fellow western PA cyclists. I ride road and rail trails. I guess that makes me a cycling "****"

I'm with you on that Germ. I road ride a lot more often than the R-T's, but I still like to use them for recovery rides. That, and some days I just don't feel like doing any climbs

Thanks for the friendly western PA welcome! I'm already learning lots about my new passion. I guess I like the rail-trails because they're closer to what I was used to growing up in flat South Jersey many years ago.
