Hello from windy Oklahoma
Howdy folks. I've been reading the forum for a week or so now and figured I might as well register and join in.
I'm a college student at Oklahoma State University, and I'm studying mechanical and aerospace engineering. I started riding after an 8-year break about three months ago and I'm hopeless addicted. I started this summer by overhauling my dad's old Raleigh Comp GS and now I use it for getting around campus and the bustling metropolis of Stillwater, OK. My serious road bike is a 62cm Specialized Allez and I switch back and forth between the stock drop bars and a set of ITM CX2 aerobars. I've found that the aerobars make a big difference when pushing into that stiff Oklahoma wind, but drop bars are more comfortable and I like having my shifters/brakes in one spot. Another bike would be nice so I don't have to put wear and tear on the bolts switching back and forth, but that will have to wait. I'm already in over my head!

Don't I know about that Oklahoma wind! I'm just south of you in Texas, but I grew up in Lawton. I won't tell you where I went to school. Although I can imagine you'll guess!

That other school, huh? Ew. . . .
haha Just kidding. I'm sure you got a fine education, and if you're getting good use out of it, more power to you!
