Saying Hello!
Hi everyone
I've been visiting here for a couple of days, getting lots of great info. & enjoying all the posts. My name is Kari, I'm married, 42, with 2 teens. We live in Oregon.
Well, just when it's time to hang up the bikes for winter my husband and I have started to ride more. We've always enjoyed riding, but haven't done as much since the kids came along. We've started to take longer rides on the weekend and want to try and keep riding through the winter
Currently, we are riding mtn bikes and are in the process of changing out the tires, adding fenders & trying to get raingear together. Eventually I'd like to move up to roadbikes.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone & learning lots of great bike stuff!

The winters here usually aren't too cold, at least in western OR, but it rains alot. Usually starts to rain in the fall and never stops till next june.

Hi Kari and welcome to BikeForums.
I know what you're talking about. I lived in Olympia during my high school years. I walked to school in the rain too many times.

Welcome Kari from a fellow Oregonian. There are several of PNW people here and lots of great info. It looks like you & your husband will be able to hang the rain gear up for a week or so. According to the weatherman (we all know how accurate they are )
