Hello from Iowa!

Hmmm… Well, perhaps the best way to introduce myself is with my current bike. I spent the better part of a year choosing, buying, and assembling my dream bike (specs below). I’ll try to get a picture up soon. My previous bike was an Airborne Black Widow (Reynolds 853 steel – a great bike!!!!). My wife says she thinks I must have thought I had just won the lottery when I told her how much I spent putting this thing together – but I am as happy as a clam. Let’s see, I am a grad. student working on my Ph.D. in Sociology (social psych. / stratification) and I am still (enlisted) in the USMCR (criminal investigator). I’ve been married a little over 2 years, never find enough time to ride, and like to ride (of course), read, shoot, backpack, and canoe. I spen a fair amount of time on other forums relating to guns, knives, survival/adventuring, and such. When not using this user-name, I go by "warriorsociologist." That’s about it for now….

Hello fellow Iowan! Are you a "transplant" or a born and raised in Iowa? Either one is fine with me. What part of Iowa are you in? Central, (Des Moines), Eastern, (Iowa City, Quad Cities), or NW, (Sioux City, LeMars area)? Or another area I didn't mention. To my knowledge we have another Iowan here too, he lives in Iowa City I believe.

I was born and raised in central Iowa, have lived and worked in NW Iowa for the past 9 years now. Love it here. Literally a stones throw away from South Dakota and Nebraska.

Look forward to talking to you here in the forums.
