North Suburb (CHICAGO) Newbie
Hello all,
I am new to the forums, but riding for my second season on my 2005 TREK1200 road bike. I commonly ride the northshore paths from Highland Park to the Navy Base in North Chicago. I also like the Deerfield to Libertyville route via Riverwoods rd. and St. Mary's rd. Although I don't normally like to I am usually riding alone, losing pace due to lack of concentration. I am fortunate to have a girlfriend who shares in the same interests as I and usually drag her behind me when I can.
I am looking to enter into a few group rides this summer, maybe join a club or a team, and enter a few races too. So if anyone knows of good rides in the Chicagoland area please let me know. Also, If any good pointers to Mackinac Island that would be helpful as well, excited for the summer!
