New Guy Hailing From Italy

Casey here, and I'm new to this forum. Just started commuting to work on an 06 HM Snakehead (not a road bike, I know, but it works for now). I haven't cycled much in the past, but I'm getting pretty interested in it now. I'm originally from Miami, FL, and now I live in northern Italy, courtesy of the military.

You're in Vicenza? I've seen those military guys stationed there- head over to the Campy factory and upgrade those components!

Welcome!

The Giro started today. Will you get to see any of it?

Welcome!

No, Aviano, about an hour north of Venice. There are plenty of bike stores around here, too - I just have to save up some cash and get a bike that really fits my needs.

Not really in my area. Those guys are all in much better shape than me, that's for sure.

Dood, don't just go to a bike shop... go to the FACTORY. Cles has Fondriest. Vicenza has Campy. Caldonazzo has Pegoretti... just to name a few. This is definitely an opportunity to go to the factories and meet the people who build the bikes and really decide which kind of bike you'd like to take home with you.

You lucky bastard!
