KingTermite from Tampabay

Hi all! Just found this forum.

My name is KingTermite, but you can call me KT!

I got into biking primarily (originally) for weight loss, but I have grown to find it almost a passion at times.

Welcome KT. I know what it's like to need a way to control weight. But, I don't think biking can ever be just "almost a passion." It is an all consuming fire for many. Do you ever ride the Pinellas Trail?

Yes...I used to ride the Pinellas trail all the time (I live in Pinellas county now). I just moved (still in Pinellas) so that now I am close enough to ride to the East-West trail which is very nice (much is shaded).

Welcome. If you don't already, be sure to join the St. Pete bike club rides leaving every morning from North Shore pool at 7AM & 8AM. The Saturday morning ride is particularly great because there are numerous groups in every ability category.

Any linkage for a website? How many people? Where is the ride? What's the category (I'm not a pro, ya know)?

Here is the URL to the club website:

https://www.stpetecycling.com/

Sometimes about a hundred people at the North Shore pool around the corner from the Vinoy Hotel. There is every manner of levels from the daisy pickers who go about 12-15 mph to the training group that goes over 30. There are also rides of 18,20,22,24 and 26 mph. There is something for everyone.

Thanks....most of us computer geek types feel like we have to have one for some reason.

Half the stuff is broken at the moment because they just moved me to a different server and broke all my CGI links and stuff.

I know about you guys! My son was a computer science major, and has worked for Microsoft for years. I was one of the original computer hobbyists, and buit my first computer long before the days of the so-called PC.
