Greetings from the Northwest

Hello riders, I'm another geezer who thought riding would be a healthy activity and now am hooked! I bought a Specialized Hardrock sport about a month ago and love it...great bike for the money. It does dirt very well but is kind of a dog on the pavement. That problem will be solved shortly as I just put a deposit on a Specialized Allez at my LBS.
I live too far from work to commute by bike (about 60 miles) but carpool with another rider and we often bring the bikes along and stop off in the Olympia area to sample the trails there on our way home. My legs are already a good bit stronger then just a few weeks ago. My goal is to be ready to do the STP next year.
