Hey everyone!

After spending just over a year as a member on another cycling forum, I just learned about this one and thought I'd stop by and see what's going on over here. I live in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. I'm somewhat new to cycling, with last year being my first full year in the saddle. I started out with a mtb, riding on and off for a few years. Got more consistent and began riding several times a week. Once I picked up a used road bike about a year ago, I really began enjoying the ride and started riding weekly with a local group. As they were mostly trialthletes and former racers, I was dropped many times, expecially in the first few months. By the end of the season last year, I had achieved my first real goal and was able to stay with them for the entire ride! I ended the year with about 1700 miles and a bunch of new friends. My two rides: 1996 Giant 750 hardtail and a 1988 Trek 400.

See ya'll around!

Thanks, Blake. I already recognize some folks from over at bicycling.com and look forward to meeting some new cyclists here.

I've heard rumors about another cycling forum. I guess they must be true.
And I thought BF was the only one. Maybe it's the only one worth joining.
