Hi Folks,
I'm a roadie from NC. I started riding seriously last fall, four days after major surgical shoulder repair. The bike was a get well present from my wife.
I did my first century 10 weeks later (Dec 14). I've done another since then and hope to do at least one a month this year.
Between my bikes and a low carb diet, I've dropped 80 lbs since last spring, and I love to talk about it
Lou

Alright, another North Carolinian on the forums! Fayette-nam huh? I live right down the road (so to speak) in Graham. It's about 15 mins. out of Chapel Hill. Maybe we can ride sometime. I'm a newbie here too, welcome to the forums!!!!

P.S. I used to party a lot in Fayetteville. Is the flaming mug still open?

Alas, the Flaming Mug closed many moons ago. The building is still there although it's occupied now by some kind of club catering to angst ridden young adults with safety pins in their lips.
If you like to ride in organized events, I'm sure we will ride together at some point. I'm planning on doing a century in every month this year. I'll be doing the Raven Rock Ramble, Bike Fest, the NCBC Rallies etc.
Peace,
Lou
