Greetings all.
First let me apologize to all my fellow DC Metro area riders. I'm sorry for the rain these past few days as it is all my fault. This past Saturday I went out and finally bought a bike. I am the proud owner of an '06 white Specialized Allez Sport. That evening I got home and the clouds opened up. Because of the rain and work I still haven't had a chance to take it out on the maiden voyage on the Mt.Vernon trial.
Anyway. Prior to this purchase I was riding, what I affectionatly called, my 86 pound beast. This was a Target/Wal-mart/Toys-R-Us type of MTB that was a hand me down from a friend that upgraded to a better ride. I have been on this beast for a couple years on the local trails. The beast is retired and now I get to ride something a tad lighter and not, at least, two sizes smaller than I needed (I believe the beast is about a 'M' and my new one is an 'XL').
I can't wait to see what the 30 or so miles that we typically do on the trail will feel like now. Commuting will also commence soon as well.
