Greetings from Philadelphia.
I've been riding everyday on a skateboard since age 6. I've been riding everyday on a bike for 13 months, which is the day I moved to Philly and sold my car...a feeling of greatness. I love being able to beat cars anywhere in the city on my bike. No tickets, insurance, gas, and I'm getting in shape and getting from A to B faster. It's refreshing? More exciting? Will I ever own a car again? Doubtful. I finished my first fixie three weeks ago, prior to that I was riding a 12 speed Raleigh road bike, before that an antique Workingman Cruiser, and lastly a tiny 18-speed mountain bike I got in 1996. Let's see what we have here...
-1984 Pinarello Treviso frame/fork
-Campagnolo bottom bracket
-Campagnolo headset
-MKS pedal set
-IRO crankset
-IRO standard wheelset
-Shimano 15T cog (42:15)
-Strong seatpost
-Redline saddle
-Nitto B-123 420mm bars
Yep, I'm stoked. Been buying it piece for piece to my liking for 3 months. Major shout-out to Bike Church, particularly Ricky, Ian and Bill for showing me the ropes and being a major help/motivation.
