Another Newbie in Colorado
I just found this forum while researching "commuter bikes". Looked like an interesting collection so here I am.
Anyway, I've been riding since the early 1970's when my father gave me a Motobecane Nomade exactly like his. We rode them everywhere until my dad got a deal on a custom Columbus tubed frame and shaved about 5 lbs off his bike. I couldn't keep up anymore so he bought me a second had Raleigh International. I've been hooked on cycling since our first ride together.
I mostly ride a Serotta Ti, but also ride a Lightspeed tandem with my wife that's really a joy. My wife has developed a love of cycling too which is really great to see.
Recently rode the Bicycle Tour of Colorado. Beautiful ride. Would recommend it to anyone who's interested in a large attendence tour in the Colorado mountains. This year's specific route has been on my list of rides to do for many years and didn't disappoint.
Happy cycling!

Hi, Tadley62. What part of Colorado are you from? I'm new to this forum too and am from Grand Junction. I just started riding a recumbent after several years on a Trek road bike.

I'm on the front range, a bit east of Boulder.
How do you like the recumbent? I've never tried one. Lots different recumbents on the tour I just completed. They look comfortable.
