Greetings from Illinois

Recently relocated to Illinois for work. I am looking to start cycling to take advantage of the great trails they have out here. Need the excercise besides. I don't have a bike yet but am in the market for one. Looking several different places and at local bike shops.

Thanks

Hey, Jerseymike. Welcome to Illinois and BF. Here's a link to some Illinois organized bike rides for this year: http://www.mikebentley.com/bike/ilrides.htm

But I have to add that the riding's more interesting and challenging in Wisconsin. Illinois' got the jobs and Wisconsin's got the recreation!

Hi, Jerseymike,

Welcome.

You can get info on events, trails, maps, and other Illinois bike resources from the League of Illinois Bicyclists at http://www.bikelib.org/

There are some really nice trails in your area ... I had a great time riding across the state on (mostly) rail trails and canal tow paths.
