25 years later....
I've been racing and riding since I was 15, turned 40 this year. As you can imagine I've gon through times of super motivation to non-riding over these years. The last 6 years I've been stronger than I can remember. Just ordered another Track bike last week, might give that another try...it's been a while.

I'm assuming that at 40 you didn't order a Pista or some other hipster track bike to ride brakeless on the streets of Chicago, so what are you going to be riding up at Kenosha?

hipster = affordable
Yeah unfortunately I did, just bought an inexpensive Mercier off e-bay. I'll probably build up some of my Campy wheel s to ride on it. The reality is that I have'nt been on the Track in over 15 years. My wife already complains about the cost of the road bikes.
We'll see...part of me wants to see how I do, then maybe I'll build up a proper track bike??
