Hey, Cal student from Bay Area

Hello everyone,
I've just recently purchased my first road bike (Trek 1000) for some recreational cycling and as a means of transportation to campus (I've been quite paranoid about bike theft in Berkeley =/ ). I was browsing through the internet for bike safety laws and riding information and came across this quite interesting forum. The past few days I've found this forum as a great resource for any inquieries I've had about cycling. Thanks for all the help, and I hope to be apart of the community.

Hi welcome to the forums.
Cal also has a great cycling team. Great people, fun rides, and they kick Stanfurds ass every year.
